Where will Adalius Thomas line up in the Patriots’ 3-4 defense?

Thomas is the starting inside linebacker with the Patriots. Despite being an outside linebacker for the Ravens, Thomas’ versatility makes him a great fit at inside linebacker in New England. He not only brings size, strength and athleticism inside, but his presence in the middle allows Mike Vrabel to move back to his natural position at outside linebacker. With a starting corps featuring Rosevelt Colvin, Tedy Bruschi, Vrabel and Thomas, the Patriots rank among the league’s best, in terms of depth and versatility. And now, coach Bill Belichick has unlimited flexibility in building his blitz packages — a scary notion for opposing offenses.
